On Sunday, October 8, on the ‘2nd Chance’ radio show, Village of Promise CEO Dana Gillis joined Kenny Anderson for a spirited and celebratory conversation about the organization and its upcoming ‘One Table’ event.

Village of Promise (VoP) was recently honored by being named the 2023 Nonprofit of the Year at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce (HMCCC) 38th Annual Small Business Awards Gala. VoP was one of 18 contenders in the Nonprofit of the Year category.

LOCAL Closer Look: Huntsville Village of Promise

Jack Church spoke with Dana Gillis, CEO for Village of Promise in Huntsville. Village of Promise thru a number of education and empowerment programs helps families advance out of poverty using a multigenerational approach, promising support through a continuum of services and inspiring them to achieve their goals and contribute to their community. Gillis said that while pre school age children are a large part of the focus, it is imperative that parents are also fully engaged and active in the program to insure success in escaping generational poverty.
